Are you passionate about social purpose, housing, and community impact? Do you want to help shape the future of a values-driven organisation committed to supporting some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands?

Trident Group is seeking a Non-Executive Director to join our Group Board and contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of our organisation. With over 60 years of history, Trident provides housing, care, and support services to more than 7,000 people across 3,400 homes. With an annual turnover of more than £42m and owning assets of more than £190m, Trident Group's aim is to create thriving and prospering communities by being a beacon of hope to those we serve. We are proud of our G1 governance rating and are on a journey of continuous improvement and transformation.

As part of our ongoing succession planning, we are seeking an experienced Non-Executive Director to join our Group Board. These are challenging and exciting times for Trident Group, as economic pressures on our customers increase and the demand for our services continues to rise. If you have a passion for making a positive impact and contributing to the well-being of communities, we invite you to be part of our journey.

This appointment not only demands a high level of commitment, but the expectation that successful candidate will contribute to developing and maintaining an effective and high performing Group Board.

As a Non-Executive Director, you will play a key role in:

  • Setting strategy, policy, and objectives
  • Overseeing financial controls and risk management
  • Supporting the development of a high-performing, inclusive Board
  • Championing our values: Trustworthy, Collaborative, Accountable, People-Focused, and Caring

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in housing management, care and support services, or public sector leadership. However, we welcome applications from a broad range of backgrounds, especially those who bring diversity of thought and lived experience.

You may also be asked to serve on one of our specialist committees: Audit & Risk, People & Resources, Housing & Communities, or Investment.

This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation while developing your own skills and governance experience. Full induction, training, and ongoing support will be provided.
