Part-Time Healthcare Assistant

We are currently looking for a part-time Healthcare Assistant to support one of our clients in the Grange Park (Enfield Area). The client requires two calls a day, every day, at the following times:

Mornings - 09am-10am

Evenings - 5pm-6pm

Duties will include:

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional intake.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
  • Empathy and compassion for patients, demonstrating a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work well within a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in carrying out tasks.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare practices and patient care principles is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and patient needs in a dynamic environment.
