This is for the Head Housekeeper position at our care home

Safe Harbor is a family run Residential Care Home provider operating in multiple locations across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. Main Duties:

  • Manage the domestic / housekeeping staff team
  • Supervise the domestic / housekeeping staff team
  • Order chemicals and janitorial items, to ensure that we have sufficient stock available at all times
  • Ensure rotas are created so that we have sufficient staff on shift at all times, with a good skill mix
  • Ensure that all cleaning and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  • Being part of the Quality Assurance process and completing audits where needed.
  • To provide a high standard of cleaning and laundry services within the home
  • To maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment for the residents
  • To clean bathrooms and toilets using appropriate cleaning materials and equipment
  • To have awareness of cleaning chemicals and how they should be appropriately stored
  • To display relevant hazard notices during cleaning and post cleaning
  • To have an awareness of infection control

We are looking for a full time Head Housekeeper (hours to be discussed at interview)

*Experience ideal but not essential

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £13.30 per hour
