Skybod Healthcare Ltd is seeking reliable and compassionate live-in personal support workers to assist vulnerable adults who require consistent care and daily living support within their own homes. This role is ideal for carers who enjoy one-to-one support, long-term placements, and working independently.

As a live-in worker, you will stay in the client's home and provide support throughout the day to help them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.

What You Will Do

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming
  • Assist with medication reminders and wellbeing checks
  • Help with meal preparation, light cleaning, and home organisation
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe movement
  • Support clients with appointments, routines, and daily activities
  • Document any significant changes in health or behaviour

Self-Employment Information

This position is strictly for self-employed carers.

Here's what that means:

  • You must have or be willing to obtain a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)
  • If you do not yet have a UTR, we will provide a clear step-by-step guide to help you apply
  • You cannot become self-employed if you are on a sponsor visa, and Skybod Healthcare Ltd cannot offer sponsorship
  • You should verify that your visa type allows self-employment before applying

Essential Requirements

  • At least 6 months' care experience (live-in or domiciliary)
  • Registered as self-employed or prepared to register
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
  • Ability to work independently and with confidence
  • Two professional references
  • A caring, patient, and dependable attitude
