We are seeking to appoint an experienced practitioner in Barbering to deliver an exceptional student experience through the delivery of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.

The successful candidate will undertake responsibilities for course management, monitoring of student progress including pastoral support, and assessing students work against awarding body regulations and national occupational standards

This exciting role will include:

  • Delivering inspiring and practical barbering lessons to learners at various levels.
  • Supporting students in developing core technical skills and confidence in the salon environment.
  • Planning and assessing coursework to meet awarding body standards.
  • Contributing to the development of an engaging and inclusive curriculum.

If you can demonstrate the following then we'd love to hear from you:

  • A strong professional background in barbering with current industry knowledge.
  • A relevant occupational qualification at level 2 and assessing qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Great communication and mentoring skills with a passion for student success.
  • A teaching qualification (desirable) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Good IT skills.
  • For many of our teaching roles, we welcome applications from candidates at any stage of their career, including industry professionals with no/limited teaching experience. We are able to offer teacher development & qualifications to enable teaching success.

College location: Based at our Eastbourne campus.

Annual salary: £ £45.16 per hour including holiday pay (subject to qualifications, skills and experience).

Hours: sessional, work pattern 5 hours a week for 20 weeks including one evening.
