My client is a fast-growth Fintech in the Payments space. This is an exciting time to join them with them reaching profitability and launching new products.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role plays a pivotal part in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder solutions for strategic customers.

The successful candidate will take ownership of designing and executing cross-functional deals and programs, supporting pre-sales activity through to delivery and ongoing optimisation. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business's commercial success and, over time, build and lead a dedicated delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales Support & Strategic Input

  • Act as a subject matter expert during the sales cycle, partnering with business development teams to scope and shape complex deals.

  • Advise on implementation pathways, risk frameworks, and value realisation for potential clients.

  • Deal Implementation & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of complex commercial programs involving multiple stakeholders and contractual structures.

  • Work closely with finance, legal, risk, and commercial teams to design and execute scalable deal models.
  • Oversee programme development and lifecycle management across acquiring and payment services.

  • Technical & Operational Integration

  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of integrated solutions.

  • Translate commercial and operational requirements into scalable, actionable technical plans.

  • Process Optimisation

  • Develop scalable operating models and streamline processes to drive efficiency and growth.

  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistent delivery and programme success.

  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Over time, build and lead a small team of delivery professionals as the business continues to scale.

  • Define roles, enhance performance, and drive continuous improvement within the team.

About the Candidate

  • 8+ years' experience in complex programme delivery, commercial operations, or strategic implementation within a B2B or tech-enabled environment.
  • Strong understanding of legal structures, risk frameworks, and financial modelling in complex deal-making.
  • Proven ability to align and influence cross-functional teams including legal, finance, risk, and commercial.
  • Skilled in process design, automation, and scaling operational frameworks.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales and client engagement activities.
  • Strategic thinker who can operate at both high-level and detailed execution stages.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience leading or building high-performing teams.

Preferred:

  • Background in payments, fintech, SaaS, or platform-based businesses.
  • Relevant programme management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Legal or finance background beneficial.
