The Opportunity:

Moorhouse's Brewery is a well-established, respected brewer based in the shadow of Pendle Hill, Burnley. We are also home to the exciting craft brewer Squawk Brewing Co.

We are looking for a new Business Development Manager with a deep passion for beer and ambition to grow both the area and their own personal standing within the beer market.

As well as our looking after existing customers, we are looking to expand and grow across this area. You will be an instrumental part of these plans and enjoy a fair degree of autonomy to shape your sales territory.

This is a great opportunity to join a two breweries at a pivotal time. The successful candidate must have previous experience of looking after a territory for a brewery, and be able to demonstrate initiative on how to grow profitable business with clear logical planning and execution.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Working with the Head of Sales to plan and develop sales in your territory with a particular focus on new business.
  • Consistently achieving your sales revenue budgets
  • Manage your sales margin and mix to the agreed plan
  • Work with all customers including wholesalers to maximise the RTM for our brands
  • Manage aged debt ensuring customers pay to their agreed terms and liaise as required with the credit control team.
  • Coordinate your sales plans and calls with the Customer Sales Exec. working closely with him to ensure the best use of your time and effort.
  • Input into the sales and marketing strategy.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience and strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to build rapport and develop strong customer relationships quickly
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good IT skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and flexibly as the role demands and business requires
  • Good collaborative approach with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving License (3 points or less)
