Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Tramping driver to join our team. This role involves long-distance driving, transporting goods across various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, with a proven track record in commercial driving. Experience with flatbed vehicles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently on long-distance routes.
  • Ensure the secure loading and unloading of goods, particularly on Curtainsider vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each journey, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including timesheets and delivery notes.
  • Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

  • Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is essential.
  • Familiarity with Curtainsider vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
