Job Summary:
A strategic and results-driven Procurement Manager with over a decade of experience in indirect procurement, specializing in facilities and logistics within the defense sector. Proven expertise in developing and executing cost-effective sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement operations to support mission-critical infrastructure.
Key Accountabilities:
Scope Formulate and implement policies and procedures in line with best procurement practices, to deliver highly effective and efficient procurement operations for the organization
Execute Manage and monitor procurement activities to ensure cost-effective purchase of all materials in compliance with the set procedures and budget commitments
Supervise Manage the sourcing, evaluation and selection of the most valuable suppliers in terms of quality, capability, reliability and cost, while maintaining highest code of conduct and ethics
Manage Build and maintain effective partnerships with suppliers to leverage on the opportunities of cost reduction and service efficiency
Manage Oversee inventory management to ensure an optimum flow of supplies
Manage Monitor and measure all aspects of procurement to identify opportunities for improving procurement efficiency in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions
Supervise Stay abreast with the latest procurement trends and technologies to infuse innovative practices and approach in the business
Execute Collaborate with key stakeholders to conduct risk assessment, review future strategies and identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals
Execute Oversee and support the implementation of the SAP system and leverage it for managing and maintaining high quality and accurate data records of purchases, shipments, inventory, supply of goods, etc.
Manage Build and develop capabilities of the team by coaching, training, evaluating and mentoring them in accordance with good people management practices Manage Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and safety requirements and standard
Experience Knowledge/Qualification Minimum:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in indirect procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing procurement functions.
Strong background in defense, aerospace, or OEM industries, with exposure to regional procurement operations.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration with an engineering background.
Preferred: Master's degree in relevant field and CIPS certification.
Proficient in SAP, contract management systems, and procurement analytics tools.
