We have an excellent opportunity for a Vet Surgeon to join a lovely team at a fantastic small animal veterinary practice in the City of Southampton in coastal Hampshire.

  • excellent full time opportunity working 4 days a week and including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings on a rota and no Sundays, no OOH
  • practice is established and very well equipped with new up to date technologies and equipment and orthopaedic equipment on site
  • caseload is interesting and varied and would suit a Vet with a medical bias or a keen interest in imaging or cardiology or a passion for exotics
  • this role would suit an experienced vet who is happy consulting, performing routine surgical procedures and comfortable with occasional sole charge.
  • work alongside an AVP in small animal surgery and an interest in exotics.
  • join a lovely, experienced and welcoming team with a wide variety of interest and specialisms including an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery, postgraduate certificates in emergency medicine and surgery, as well as soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
  • generous CPD allowance and funding towards certificates

Person Requirements

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
  • Registered with the RCVS
  • good experience in practice
  • confident to work some occasional sole charge
