Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. Candidates should possess a valid driver licence and have previous experience in delivery or commercial driving.

Duties

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Deliver goods to designated locations promptly and accurately
  • Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Ensure all deliveries are documented correctly, including obtaining signatures and completing delivery paperwork
  • Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times during deliveries

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
  • Valid driver licence with a clean driving record
  • Experience with warehouse operations and handling heavy loads is desirable
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness for the role
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
  • Prior experience in warehouse environments or logistics is advantageous but not essential
