CLASS 1 HGV DRIVER – SLOUGH

Start Date: Immediately.

Shift Start Time: Multiple different start times available.

Pay (paye):

  • Class 1: £19.00 per hour

We're recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers for an exciting logistics contract based in Slough, supporting high-profile transport operations within the production, staging, and events industry.

This is a long-term opportunity for drivers who take pride in professional driving, punctuality, and responsibility. The work involves interesting, non-standard assignments — ideal for those who want something beyond general haulage.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Class 1 (C+E) Duties:

  • Transporting trailers between sites and event locations
  • Use of American-style trailer hooks (training provided if required)
  • No manual handling – trailer-only work
  • Precision driving, often on production schedules with tight turnarounds
  • May involve overnight stays depending on the run

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year of Class 1 HGV experience

  • Confidence handling large vehicles in busy or non-standard locations
  • Flexibility for occasional nights out (hotels/accommodation arranged when required)
  • A professional attitude and ability to represent the business to clients in the entertainment and events industry
