Tea and the Gang is expanding again — and we're looking for a skilled, friendly, and reliable Barista to join our team at our brand-new café opening on 5th January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a brand-new store from day one and be part of a growing, independent hospitality business.

About Tea and the Gang

We are a fast-growing specialty tea and coffee brand with multiple café locations across the UK. We pride ourselves on great drinks, great food, and great service, delivered in a warm, welcoming environment. Our Watford café will bring our signature atmosphere to the high street, focusing on high-quality teas, specialty coffee, and a premium customer experience.

The Role

As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating memorable moments for our customers. You'll be preparing high-quality coffee and tea beverages, supporting smooth daily operations, and contributing to a fun and positive store culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing high-quality coffee and tea drinks consistently
  • Delivering friendly, attentive, and professional customer service
  • Operating the coffee machine, grinders, and other equipment
  • Assisting with food preparation and presentation
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the café
  • Supporting stock control and daily opening/closing routines
  • Working as part of a small but motivated team

About You

We're looking for someone who brings positive energy and high standards to every shift.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous barista experience (required)
  • A passion for coffee, tea, and great hospitality
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy periods
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to support wherever needed

Full-time position. Availability across weekdays is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.27-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
