We are looking to recruit an experienced level 3 qualified support practitioner to support with our children with additional needs, expected SEN and EAL here at Blossoms Day Nursery, as we expand our team. The role is with full key person responsibilities and meeting the individual targets of the Child.
Experience of working as 1:1 essential to support our children with additional needs.
Hours 32 hours, over four full days - all year round
Essential Experience/criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years experience within a private day nursery
- Willing to take on new training
- Experience with children with additional needs and emerging SEN
Responsibilities
- Support children with emerging SEN and additional needs
- Support children with EAL
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes early childhood education and development.
- Implement individualized learning plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and well-being.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childcare practices and paediatric first aid protocols.
Desired Experience/criteria:
- Famly/online learning journals
- Paediatric First Aid Qualification
Blossoms Day Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All successful applicants will be required to complete and pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the update service. The DBS must be maintained throughout the period of employment.

You need to be innovative and fun in your approach and show you can multi task, there is also an expectation you will carry out key person responsibilities such as observing and carrying out activities with children, and setting out and providing experiences that will stretch and challenge our little Blossoms.
