Overview

Knees Engineering is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator (Press Break) to join our manufacturing team in Trowbridge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components. This role requires the ability to problem-solve and maintain a high level of efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to determine production requirements
  • Set up tooling and fixtures for various jobs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet required tolerances
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Identify the most efficient way to complete tasks and work efficiently
  • Work within an existing team

Experience

  • Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes
  • Strong basic mathematical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Reasonably physically able to perform the duties of the role
  • A decent work attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Reliability is essential
