Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated qualified Level 3 or above Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and development of children within our childcare setting. Duties

  • Provide attentive and personalised care to children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Support children with daily routines, including feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's needs and development
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the childcare setting
  • Assist with organising educational outings and activities outside the nursery
  • Support management in maintaining high standards of childcare practice

Skills

  • Proven experience with children, including childcare or nursery experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate patience in challenging situations

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour
