Working as part of our existing production team, we require a Packaging Room Team Leader as part of our shifts to support, monitor and meet production requirements and make a positive contribution to the Company's future growth. Production currently operates on a Monday to Friday basis.

Responsibilities
The Role

  • Ensuring the production schedule is adhered to and orders are fulfilled on time;
  • Dealing with any product deviations as noted by Boning Hall Manager, QA or QC personnel;
  • Ensuring all positions have the correct staffing levels and raise personnel issues to the manager or supervisor.
  • Setting up line at beginning of production and ensuring it is ready for clean-down at the end of production;
  • Ensure products are packed and labelled according to customer specification and adhere to quality standards, rejecting any non-conformances;
  • Highlight any maintenance issues to the Boning Hall Manager and record downtime;
  • Liaise with Boning Hall Manager on all issues;
  • Be aware of and work to departmental SOPs;
  • Identify improvement in production and cost saving methods;
  • Promote and maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.
  • Assist with higher level knife work if required.
  • Report any accidents/near misses;
  • Other associated duties.

Qualifications
The Person
Essential

  • Previous experience in a Production environment;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to communicate with others effectively;
  • Experience of accurate record keeping;
  • Good level written and verbal English.
  • Previous Knife skills desirable
