We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.
This role is available on a contract basis (Inside IR35), initially for 6 months.
This is a hybrid role working from any Waracle office (Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow or London).
We are seeking a Senior level Technical Business Analyst to serve as the critical link between our business objectives and technical solutions within a Financial Services project. The Technical BA will be responsible for understanding stakeholder needs, translating them into actionable technical requirements, and ensuring solutions align with overall business goals.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and end-users to deeply understand our client's objectives, strategies, challenges, and goals.
- Act as the essential bridge between business and IT teams, converting high-level business goals into detailed and testable technical requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Work with technical teams to develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including detailed specifications, user stories, diagrams and process maps to clearly define current and future states.
- Implement a robust process for managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including tracking changes, prioritising needs, and ensuring all requirements are fully captured, documented, and traceable
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and quality assurance teams to discuss, analyse, and validate potential solutions.
- Act as a key participant in technical solution design, including data flows, system architecture, APIs, and system integrations to ensure the proposed solutions are technically feasible and robust.
What you'll bring
- Background as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Technical Product owner within a software development team.
- Able to communicate effectively with technical teams to understand and document solution requirements for architecture, APIs and system integrations.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences, and clients.
- Proficiency in creating clear and concise documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and stakeholder maps.
- Background working in financial services is highly advantageous.
The recruitment process you can expect for this role is an initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner who will chat with you about Waracle, what you are looking for in a new position, the salary for the role, notice period and benefits (the important stuff). After that, you'll be invited to a two-stage interview process where you have an opportunity to find out more about the role and showcase your skills and experience. Your Talent Acquisition Partner will guide you through the whole process to your first day with us.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, gender, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
