Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and leading a motivated team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional with a background in hospitality, and team leadership to contribute to a vibrant café setting. The position requires a proactive approach to leading both staff and operational tasks.

Duties

  • Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts
  • Assist the general manager with training, and performance management across the team.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the premises
  • Greet, seat and serve customers, providing excellent hospitality and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Monitor stock levels in order to assist the manager to place orders, ensuring the availability of ingredients and supplies
  • Implement operational processes and procedures to optimise efficiency and service quality
  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding service and fostering a positive team environment

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous
  • Barista experience or serving background is desirable but not essential
  • A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service

This role requires you to be available during weekends.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 28 per week
