Purchasing Agent – Join our St. Paul Purchasing Team

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Purchasing Agent for Total Tool, you will be responsible for facilitating the purchasing process and working with internal teams across 16 Total Tool locations to ensure accurate ordering and inventory management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining the accuracy of orders in regard to quantity, pricing, and due dates
- Placing purchase orders and expediting items on a daily basis
- Working with the IT department to maintain accurate price updates from our suppliers
- Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellation
$70,000-80,000 per year, based on experience
SCHEDULE:
Monday–Friday, 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Previous purchasing experience within the distribution space is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is a primarily sedentary role, requiring sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal.
- Occasional standing, bending, walking and lifting is also required.
- Employee must be able to communicate effectively in a typical office environment with a standard level of office noise.
- Occasional exposure to typical warehouse environment and hazards.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
