- 35 hours per week
(shift-based, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holidays) - You must be able to arrange your own transport for early/late shifts.
Earliest shift is from 04:15am, and latest shift finishes by 21:45pm. - Full training provided and uniform provided
- Candidates will be subject to a Right to Work check & DBS check for this position.
- Applicants must be aged 18 and over
- This role is subject to a graded pay scale, starting salary £25,435, rising at 6 months to £26,471 & a final increase at 12 months to £29,429.

We are currently forward planning for any future roles that may come up to join our Customer Service Team as a Ticket Office Clerk at Ipswich Station. This advert is for future positions. If successful with your application you will be placed in a Talent Bank for a period of 6 months and offered a role if an opportunity becomes available.
Key Responsibilities
- This role is a ticket office position.
- The successful applicant will be responsible selling tickets & rail products, assisting our passengers whilst demonstrating our customer service values & ensuring the ticket office environment is clean & tidy.
- The position is based on an average of 35 hours a week, to include shift work of early mornings & late evenings.
- The position also includes weekend working.
- The successful applicant will also have to have their own transport and be able to travel independently to the station (shifts may start or finish after the train service begins / ends).
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- The correct candidate will need to have a high level of professionalism, a positive attitude, be pro-active, friendly, open & honest when dealing with customers.
- Excellent customer service & interpersonal skills are crucial to this role.
- You will remain calm under pressure, show integrity & be flexible and adaptable to change.
