Keren's Nursery is a family-run group of boutique early years settings, celebrated for creating
enabling, nurturing, and deeply relational environments
. For over 20 years, we have delivered outstanding care and education rooted in emotional safety, curiosity, independence, and high-quality pedagogy.

Our Wimbledon branch is growing — and we are seeking a Manager who leads with emotional intelligence, integrity, and the belief that early childhood transforms lives.


What You Will Lead
1. Quality of Education & Practice

  • Deliver an engaging EYFS-aligned curriculum that supports whole-child development.
  • Oversee high-quality observations, assessments, and planning across the nursery.
  • Maintain exceptional practice through regular room observations, supervisions, and ongoing staff development.
  • Ensure all children — including SEND, EAL and those needing additional support — receive personalised, high-quality provision.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, safeguarding, hygiene, and well-being.

2. Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Lead the nursery's preparation for Ofsted, LA audits and external inspections.
  • Implement recommendations with precision and urgency.
  • Drive innovation and contribute to strategy meetings, development plans and quality initiatives.

3. Leadership & People Development

  • Recruit, nurture, develop and retain a committed, motivated staff team.
  • Build a collaborative, warm and accountable culture.
  • Lead staff performance, appraisals, and wellbeing.
  • Build strong relationships with families through communication, meetings, feedback, and celebrations.
  • Ensure all staff confidently uphold safeguarding procedures.

4. Operational & Commercial Success

  • Ensure staffing ratios, qualifications and compliance meet EYFS/Ofsted expectations.
  • Maintain beautiful, well-resourced indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Manage budgets responsibly and meet occupancy / revenue targets.
  • Convert enquiries, manage waiting lists and maintain excellent parent engagement.
  • Oversee all operational systems, security, equipment and IT platforms.

5. Administration & Information Management

  • Maintain accurate registers, financial records and statutory documentation.
  • Submit reports to senior leadership, Ofsted, LAs and partner agencies.
  • Ensure confidentiality, GDPR compliance and strong professional standards.

6. Additional Leadership Duties

  • Represent the nursery at events, meetings and training sessions.
  • Lead evening commitments (parent evenings, celebrations, staff meetings).
  • Undertake keyholder responsibilities and uphold safety and security procedures.

Essential experience

  • Level 3+ Early Years qualification
  • 3+ years' leadership in full-day-care settings
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding and SEND
  • Experience managing budgets, occupancy and parent relationships
  • Skilled in staff supervision, development and performance management

Desirable

  • Level 3 SENCO
  • Degree in Early Years or relevant field
  • Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding L1–3, Food Hygiene
  • Experience with nursery management systems
