Job Introduction

You will be:

  • joining a small team of practitioners who sit within the Virtual School and work to support both education and social care colleagues in developing their relational and restorative approaches.
  • work closely with the advisors and an Assistant Educational Psychologist to offer bespoke training packages to provisions across the county.

Based in Stafford, we offer flexible working which supports a hybrid approach of working from home and attendance in the office. You will be required to travel across the county of Staffordshire, and occasionally further beyond.

Main Responsibilities

You will:

  • Support wraparound care settings from across the county to develop relational and restorative practice in their work community.
  • Co-produce with providers bespoke learning plans using Training Needs Analysis.
  • Offer training delivery and support with RRP approaches, including solution focused circles.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Educational Psychologist allocated to the project.
  • Signpost to other training offers, including RADY and Autism Inclusion.
  • Develop networking opportunities for Wraparound Care Providers and those that support them.
  • Link with the main Relational and Restorative Practice team.

In addition, it is expected that you can:

  • Ensure knowledge of research findings is up to date
  • Deliver Solution Focused Circle training
  • Offer information, advice and guidance (IAG) to individual practitioners around inclusion and/or SEND concerns
  • Support at events, including conferences, training and networking events

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Have a great knowledge of both the practice and theory of Relational and Restorative Practice
  • Be confident in delivering training as well as getting involved in developing our training materials, which is an ongoing element of the role.
  • Have substantial experience of working with children and young people in a variety of settings including Early Years and Primary.
  • You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of how Relational and Restorative practice can support practitioners and children to prioritise relationships and deal with conflict when it arises.
  • Be confident to work individually, but also feel comfortable with working as part of a small, close-knit team.
