We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Property Solicitor to join our well-established team. The successful candidate will handle a high-quality caseload of residential conveyancing matters while providing leadership, expertise, and support to junior members of the department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and commercially minded solicitor who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full and varied caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, and shared ownership transactions.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients while maintaining exceptional client care standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior fee-earners, paralegals, and support staff.
- Contribute to the development of departmental processes and business development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management procedures.
- Maintain strong relationships with estate agents, lenders, developers, and other key stakeholders.
- Providing clear legal advice on property rights, planning permissions, and related legal matters.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements throughout the transaction process.
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring timely progression of all matters handled.
Skills
- Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with 5+ years' PQE in residential property.
- Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and current property law.
- Proven ability to manage complex or high-value transactions with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support team members.
- A proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach.
