ABOUT US:
At
Trust Keith
, we're on a mission to
make the complex world of data protection simple, human, and genuinely fun
.
Our vision is to become the first-choice privacy management solution for privacy owners - displacing the boring, overcomplicated, and incomplete ways companies try to manage compliance today.
We combine
hands-on human expertise
with an
intelligent platform
to power continuous privacy operations,
turning regulatory chaos into clarity and giving fast-growing companies the confidence to scale through every twist of new risks, fresh data, and ever-shifting regulation
.
100s of the world's
most exciting data-centric scale-ups
trust us to transform privacy from a liability into a growth enabler. We're scaling quickly and proving that
"compliance" doesn't have to be boring.
We've been named one of
Tempo's Top 100 Start-ups
(two years running) and snagged
Flexa's Flexible SaaS Award (2023)
. We're a 16-strong,
remote
team that question, reimagine, and build differently
.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Freedom with connection.
You'll have autonomy, but never isolation. You're part of our team, through and through.
£550/day + performance bonus.
Your impact on customers and the business drives your reward.
Variety.
You'll work across different industries, products, and personalities. Privacy that's never on repeat.
Tech that works for you.
Smart tech that handles the complexity, so you can focus on driving real strategic impact with your book of Trust Keith customers.
Community, not acquaintances.
You'll collaborate daily with our DPOs, Product, Customer Success, and Ops teams to shape how privacy is delivered.
Quarterly DPO Days.
Get together virtually with the whole team to deep-dive into trends, debate privacy quirks, and spark new ideas.
Continuous growth.
Regular learning sessions, platform updates, and open forums to feed back on our product and processes.
Zero beige energy.
We're a start-up that swaps corporate formality for creativity, fun, and momentum.
ABOUT YOU:
You thrive on variety. You love diving into new businesses, learning how they work, and helping them grow safely and confidently.
You're beyond the spreadsheet days. You want tools that help privacy power the business, not block it. You want to shape how tech supports DPOs, and you're not shy about giving feedback when it can be better.
You make privacy
real
. You've got energy, empathy, and maybe a few puns up your sleeve. You're the kind of DPO who gets teams to care, to engage, and boardrooms to listen (maybe even laugh).
You're bold, curious, and collaborative. You push boundaries and question norms. You believe that compliance can be fun, and that teamwork is where the magic happens.
And you're not just looking for "another contract". You're looking for a place where your ideas count, your voice is heard, and your work builds something bigger.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Be the
primary Privacy Expert
for a portfolio of Trust Keith customers, delivering outstanding service with warmth, clarity, and independence.
- Implement and oversee
comprehensive privacy programmes through the
Trust Keith platform,
setting priorities, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery aligns with each customer's goals and expectations.
- Lead customer calls, workshops, and Risk Committee meetings
that make privacy engaging.
- Manage incoming privacy queries
with empathy and speed, meeting our SLAs while keeping things human. Troubleshoot privacy challenges and help companies build trust through action, not jargon.
- Conduct data-protection audits
to build a deep understanding of each customer's risks and realities, then turn insights into clear, actionable next steps.
- Identify and communicate priority risks
using the Trust Keith platform, helping customers make smart, defensible decisions about privacy.
-
Feed back
insights from the field to our Product team to keep evolving how we deliver.
- Collaborate closely with our Lead DPO
and the wider privacy team, sharing best practices, supporting peers, and contributing to a culture of continual improvement.
- Partner with Customer Success, Product, and Ops
(because we're building this together).
-
Share your ideas,
your expertise, and your sense of humour at our
quarterly DPO Days
, where we get into the nitty-gritty of the latest privacy trends and shape the next chapter of Trust Keith.
APPLY IF YOU:
[We are an inclusive and diverse workplace, and we wholeheartedly welcome people from all backgrounds to join our team. We believe that a diverse range of thoughts, experiences, and perspectives greatly enhances our organisation and empowers us to excel together. If you don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply; your unique skills and background could be exactly what we need]
Able to commit
to a minimum of 16 hours per week, growing to around 32 hours per week over time as new Trust Keith customers join your portfolio.
Work within UK business hours (Monday to Friday)
to stay connected with our team and customers.
Have
4+ years of privacy experience
,
holding certifications like
CIPP/E, CIPM, LLM, or IAPP membership.
Understand GDPR, PECR, CCPA, and international data transfers
and can explain them without sending people to sleep.
Have tackled privacy challenges in
AI, fintech, healthtech, edtech, or other complex data environments
(bonus points if you loved the chaos).
Have experience working with
multiple customers on a fractional, freelance, or consultancy basis.
You're a natural at balancing priorities, context-switching, and building relationships.
Understand
risk management
and take a
pragmatic approach
to compliance.
Know your way around privacy docs
(IARs, RoPAs, privacy notices, DSARs, breach logs, etc.).
Are
tech-curious and opinionated.
You love trying new tools, pushing boundaries, and sharing ideas that shape the future of privacy delivery.
Are
self-motivated
but thrive on collaboration. You love bouncing ideas off other brilliant DPOs and helping the whole team level up.
And, of course, you live our values:
Brave:
You're willing to challenge the status quo, share an unpopular opinion, and deliver/receive honest feedback.
Diligent:
You make yourself accountable by default, following through on what you say you're going to do.
Empathetic:
You're able to put yourself in the customers' and other team members' shoes; everyone is human, after all.
Personal & Professional Growth Mindset:
You're ambitious, want to learn, grow, and become the best version of yourself.
Quirky:
You don't take yourself too seriously… We know we're building a company in an 'unsexy' industry, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun.
HOW TO APPLY:

(reviewed by real humans - no AI involved ) alongside your CV.
