We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join our clients team on a permanent full time basis based in Inverurie.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients, resolving basic technical issues, and escalating complex problems to higher-level support teams when necessary.

Hours: Monday – Friday based in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues related to hardware, software, networking, and peripherals.
  • Document all support incidents, including symptoms, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support teams, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Install and upgrade software applications, perform system updates, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Educate end-users on basic IT procedures, best practices, and self-service resources to empower them to resolve simple issues independently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other support teams to share knowledge, solve problems, and improve overall service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Essential skills and experience:
  • Proven experience in an IT technician or support role
  • Driving Licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technical proficiency
  • Customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
