IT Onsite Technical Support Engineer

Central London (Onsite, 5 days per week)
Salary:
£40,000 per annum + benefits
About the Role
Join Focus Group as our dedicated IT Technical Support Engineer for a key hospitality client in London. You'll be the face of our IT service, visiting multiple hospitality venues and providing hands-on technical support that keeps their operations running smoothly.
This is a customer-facing role where you'll own the technical relationship with one of our most important clients, providing 1st - 3rd line support across their London sites.
What You'll Do
- Provide onsite, telephone, and remote IT support across multiple hospitality venues
- Manage and resolve support tickets, ensuring excellent customer service throughout
- Deploy and configure new equipment including desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot issues across Office 365, Windows environments, networking, and wireless systems
- Conduct daily checks including backups and security monitoring
- Support project deployments and maintain best practice processes
- Build strong relationships with end users, remaining calm under pressure
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in an IT support role
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows Desktop (7, 8, 10, 11), Outlook, and Office 365
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy, DNS, and network domains
- Experience troubleshooting printers and general PC issues
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team
- Happy to travel between sites using public transport (paid for by the company)
Desirable:
- Experience with Mac OS X, Linux, and Android
- Knowledge of HP Aruba switches, Sonicwall firewalls, and ClearPass
- Familiarity with CCTV, door access systems, and hospitality IT infrastructure
- Understanding of networking, VOIP, and SQL
