The Role

We are offering two separate styles of working:

Applicants may apply for one or both styles of working.

  1. Remote management referral consultations
    : Working flexibly from home, and at times to suit you, you will conduct telephone and video assessments for our client's employees following their referral to our service. Following a 20-30 minute consultation you will complete and provide your completed report, with all referral triage and post-consultation administration handled by our team.

  2. Combined driver medical and management referral clinics
    : You will attend our client's sites (frequency and location varies by site) conducting sessions which run from 9.30am – 3.30pm. These will be combined sessions which involve completion of DVLA D4 medical assessments and absence management referrals. Following each session you will provide our team with your completed documents and reports for processing.

  3. Health Surveillance Site Visits:
    You will attend client sites (locations and frequency vary) to conduct scheduled sessions from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. These sessions will include Health Surveillance assessments, ranging from Audiometry, Spirometry, Questionnaires, HAVS Tier's 1-2 (OHP Tier 3-4). After each session, you will submit the completed documentation and reports to our team for processing.

Requirements

To apply, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • GMC registration and license to practice
  • Occupational Health Practitioner: Diploma in OH, AFOM or MFOM or FFOM. HAVS FOM approved course if undertaking HAVS health surveillance
  • Occupational Health Nurse: NMC Registration, subject to indemnity in place.
  • Occupation Health Technician: Show competency in Audiometry/ Spirometry and any part of HAVS Tier 3 undertaken such as Purdue pegboard. Evidence of training and refresher training from a body such as BOHS/ARTP or FOM would be required.
  • Professional indemnity insurance which covers private work of this nature.
  • DBS is required.
  • Subject to Annual Appraisal either through SOM or equivalent.
  • Health Surveillance would require evidence of training in this area.
  • Health Surveillance quality control measures of equipment calibration records
  • Driving License (Required for combined clinics only)
  • Suitable home space for conducting remote consultations (Required for remote consultations only)
  • Own equipment to facilitate allocated services.
  • Laptop and reliable home internet connection (Required for remote consultations only)
