The Role

We are seeking an experienced
Estimating / Pre-Construction Manager
to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will lead all pre-construction activities — from initial design and estimating through to project handover — ensuring seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the
    estimating and tendering
    process for incoming client enquiries, including the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates.
  • Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to develop compliant and competitive proposals.
  • Work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop
    design and build solutions
    that meet project requirements.
  • Oversee
    value engineering
    and technical design input during the pre-construction phase.
  • Lead
    procurement activities
    , including supplier and subcontractor engagement and quotation analysis.
  • Coordinate project
    handover to the Project Manager
    , ensuring all technical, financial, and procurement documentation is complete.
  • Support continuous improvement in estimating and pre-construction processes.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in estimating and/or pre-construction management within the
    HVAC or mechanical services
    industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services design and installation.
  • Excellent commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar discipline (preferred).
