Senior Financial Applications Business Systems Analyst

As a Senior Financial Applications BSA, you will support the design, development, implementation and testing of enterprise applications to provide Boston Dynamics with optimal flexibility and operational efficiencies. The Financials BSA will work with the Ops Applications Team to deliver against the ongoing roadmap. They will lead all phases of requirements gathering, solution design, declarative development, testing activities, end-user training and administration. We are looking for a BSA with a background in Salesforce with experience with Financial Applications at this time.
What You'll Do
Understand how Boston Dynamics operates and use this knowledge to provide a functional viewpoint for financial applications such as Rootstock Financials, Avalara, D&B, & Adaptive.
Gather and analyze business requirements, and translate requirements into Salesforce/Rootstock configuration or in some cases, write technical specifications.
Provide system administration, project management, data management, application development, and technical support to all Salesforce/Rootstock end users.
Serve as an SME to both technical and non-technical peers, troubleshooting challenging issues, ensuring knowledge sharing, and leading technical enablement within the team.
Advocate and implement policies for data governance to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
Responsibilities are expected to be primarily with Rootstock configuration activities for AP, AR, GL, Cost Accounting, etc.
Having experience with a similar cloud ERP system like Netsuite, Sage, SAP or Oracle Cloud is a huge plus.
Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams, shaping backlog priorities and making informed tradeoffs to meet business objectives.
Evaluate new technologies and contribute recommendations for pilots or adoption to add business value.
Lead continuous improvement projects for system and process optimization, using analytics and stakeholder feedback.
Take initiative as a positive team player, fostering collaboration, morale, and collective ownership within the group.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of experience in Finance Transformation or Financial Systems roles.
Strong expertise with ERP (Rootstock preferred) and financial systems supporting order-to-cash (O2C), procure-to-pay (P2P), and record-to-report (R2R) processes.
Robust project management experience and have led at least 2 major system implementations and / or migrations.
Deep knowledge spanning multiple Finance domains: GL concepts (journal entries, GL segmentation, eliminations, etc.), billing customers, paying vendors, cost accounting, fixed assets, etc.
Demonstrated ability to design scalable processes and implement systems solutions that meet cross-functional business needs.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a balance of strategic vision and executional detail.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
Prior experience mentoring team members.
Comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy in a dynamic environment.
Inherently curious with a strong desire to understand the "why" and "how" behind processes and systems.
