We are looking for a Senior Analyst in our Capital Markets team.

The role sits within our Capital Markets team which is central to Funding Circle's strategy, responsible for securing and managing the institutional funding that underpins our lending to small businesses.

The role

As a Senior Analyst, Capital Markets you'll play a vital role in executing our funding strategy,

cultivating investor relationships, and contributing to a wide range of transactions with sophisticated investors.

  • Transaction Execution: Support the structuring, execution, and closing of various capital markets transactions, including public markets securitisations, structured credit facilities, and loan sales. This involves coordinating due diligence processes, preparing data tapes, and assisting with legal documentation
  • Investor Relations Assistance: Help drive the Funding Circle brand amongst investors by assisting in building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of institutional investors (e.g., banks, asset managers, credit funds, rating agencies). This includes preparing investor presentations, responding to information requests, and coordinating investor meetings and roadshows
  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to analyse portfolio performance, forecast cash flows, assess potential deal structures, and evaluate funding costs
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare regular performance reports for internal and external stakeholders, tracking key metrics, analysing trends, and ensuring adherence to contractual requirements
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor capital markets trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks for Funding Circle's funding strategy
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Finance, Risk, Legal, Product, and Data Science to ensure alignment on capital markets initiatives and drive strategic projects
  • Strategic Projects: Support various projects and analyses as required by the Capital Markets team and broader leadership
  • Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of relevant experience and a proven track record in prior roles
  • Proven experience analysing large datasets, with strong Excel proficiency
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
  • Highly organised with strong project management capabilities, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, STEM, or a related field
