Overview
R E Dawson is seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our busy team during the Christmas peak season. The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, stock control, and goods in/out.
This is a seasonal position, but for the right person, there may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent role.
Duties
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders.
- Check, unload, and store incoming deliveries efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock control.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe, following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Support colleagues and other departments as needed to meet operational goals.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Forklift licence is an advantage but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Ability to lift and handle goods safely throughout the day.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
