Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, with proficiency in various hand and power tools. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Perform joinery work with precision, ensuring high-quality finishes.
  • Carry out roofing tasks as required, ensuring structural integrity and weatherproofing.
  • Assist in heavy lifting of materials and equipment during construction projects.
  • Engage in construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, masonry, and electrical teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in carpentry or joinery is essential.
  • Familiarity with fabrication techniques and assembly processes is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using various hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders).
  • Experience in roofing, heavy lifting, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
