£12.33 per hour

The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to manage a high-volume caseload of patients from referral through to discharge. This role is critical in ensuring the organisation consistently meets — and exceeds — service delivery expectations, both quantitatively and qualitatively, for all referrers. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting the patient journey with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure complex administrative tasks and support functions meet required standards and deadlines.
Manage, appraise, and interpret data, information, and/or situations to support decision-making.
Handle all enquiries and queries efficiently and effectively, escalating when appropriate.
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and other stakeholders.
Accurately enter, modify, maintain, and present data using appropriate electronic or manual systems.
Prepare standard and ad hoc reports as requested by the department.
Provide comprehensive clinic support, including:
Liaising with patients and consultants via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions
Booking and amending appointments using designated systems (training provided)
Coordinating room and consultant availability and managing workloads
Supporting Consultant/GP partnerships
Creating, altering, or cancelling clinics to meet business needs
Collaborate effectively across all business areas and staff groups
Person Specification
We are seeking an experienced customer service professional with the following attributes:
Proven experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
Ability to prioritise and manage a dynamic workload with shifting priorities
Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and bespoke databases
Exceptional attention to detail
Understanding of the importance of policies and operating procedures
