Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Milker to join our team on our family farm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the milking of dairy animals, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining a clean and efficient working environment. This role requires a strong understanding of animal care, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform milking duties using both manual and automated milking systems.
- Ensure the cleanliness of milking equipment and facilities, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Monitor the health of dairy animals, reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain and repair milking equipment as necessary, utilising basic mechanical knowledge.
- Yard scraping and feeding.
- Must be happy to work alone.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care or farming is preferred but not essential.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of animal welfare and farm hygiene.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
