Job Overview

You will be joining a CQC regulated complex care provider that is nurse-led. This package is for a little child under 10 years old with neurodivergence, signs of pre-autism and presenting challenging behaviour.

Must be able to drive and hold a driver's license

Schedule: After-school from 2pm to 8:30pm on weekdays. Some weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist client with sensory activities and emotional regulation
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Pick up from school
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervising staff.
• Develop and follow personalised care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' overall well-being.

Skills

• Proficient in English, with strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families.
• Spanish language skills preferred
• Has extensive experience in SEN or working with children with special needs, autism
• Experience in home care or care home settings is highly desirable.
• Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.

Experience:

• Complex Care: 2 years (required)
• • Special education: 2 years (required)
• • 1:1 teaching assistant or nursery: 4 years (preferred)
• • autism and challenging behaviour: 5 years (required)
• • epi pen: 3 years (preferred)

Language:

• • Spanish at an intermediate level at minimum (preferred) (preferred)
