We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader in our busy nursery at New Hutte (Halewood). In addition to your Room Leader responsibilities you will be Third in Charge and will need to feel confident in running the nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, have a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification and a passion for working in Early Years. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the management team in the smooth and effective operation of the nursery
  • Lead and inspire a team of early years practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education
  • Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where children can learn and develop
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety policies are adhered to at all times
  • Support with staff development, training, and mentoring

Experience

  • Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
  • Level 3 or above Childcare qualification
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted standards, and best practices in early childhood education
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A passion for providing high-quality care and education, ensuring every child reaches their full potential
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

We are open from 8.00am-18:00pm

If successful, the candidate will be expected to work 40 hours a week on a rota of / / 9am-18:00.
