Solution Engineer EMEA
MetalBear is looking for an exceptional generalist to join as our first Solutions Engineer in the EMEA region. This is a rare opportunity to design, build, and lead a customer-facing function from the ground up — shaping our go-to-market strategy, driving technical success for customers, and defining what world-class customer experience looks like for developers using mirrord.
We're a remote-first, seed-stage, product-led startup backed by top-tier VCs. Our passionate, high-performing team is scaling rapidly, and every member joined after excelling at leading tech companies. You'll be joining at a pivotal moment — right as we transition from early traction to global growth.
As MetalBear's first EMEA Solutions Engineer, you will own the entire customer journey — from first contact to long-term success. You'll lead technical evaluations, Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), and production deployments, while building deep relationships with customers and feeding real-world insights back into our product roadmap.
This is a high-impact, high-growth role with massive opportunity to shape our customer experience strategy and accelerate your career trajectory.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end technical engagement — run demos, guide Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), advise on architecture, and support smooth deployments.
- Lead onboarding & long-term success — ensure customers adopt mirrord effectively and realize continuous value.
- Act as a trusted advisor — deeply understand customer needs, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide best practices for cloud-native environments.
- Partner cross-functionally — work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape our offering and influence roadmap priorities.
- Build from zero to one — create scalable playbooks, documentation, and processes to support rapid growth across the region.
- Be the Voice of the Customer — relay insights and feedback to help us iterate fast and keep developers delighted.
Why This Role Is Unique
- First in EMEA: You'll define how MetalBear engages with customers across a key global region.
- High ownership: Full autonomy to shape the role, processes, and success metrics.
- Fast career growth: Early, visible position with clear paths to leadership.
- Product-led momentum: Leverage a thriving OSS community and strong inbound interest alongside targeted outbound.
- Direct founder access: Work closely with our CEO and leadership team on strategy and customer impact.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in high-performance environments (startups, scale-ups, or hyper-growth companies).
- Technical fluency: Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, modern infrastructure (Kubernetes, microservices), and ability to read/write code confidently.
- Proven (or high potential) experience in customer-facing technical roles — Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, or Pre-Sales.
- Self-starter mentality: Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication & relationship-building skills — comfortable with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Execution-focused: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle tactical and strategic priorities.
- Bonus: Experience in quota-carrying pre-sales or customer success roles in developer tools or cloud infrastructure.
What You'll Get
- Competitive compensation with meaningful equity in a high-growth startup.
- A key role in scaling MetalBear across EMEA with outsized ownership and impact.
- Fast career acceleration in a company that values curiosity, innovation, and execution.
- Remote-first, async-friendly culture built for focus and flexibility.
- Direct exposure to founders and executives, influencing product and GTM strategy.
MetalBear is redefining the developer experience for cloud-native teams. If you want to build from the ground up, work deeply with customers, and shape how developers ship code faster — we'd love to hear from you.
