Overview

Blythe Rose Care Home is looking for passionate staff required to join a new and dynamic team, caring for people living with dementia in small Lodges, housing 12-15 people.

Each lodge offers a stunning environment in which to live and work. Lodges are equipped with everything required for true family style living, with beautifully designed interiors and gardens designed to create a home from home feeling.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with their daily living activities while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for.

Duties

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents in following their individual care plans to meet their specific needs.
  • Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on resident progress and needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including tidying living spaces and assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
  • Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
  • Document daily activities and any changes in resident health or behaviour accurately in accordance with company policies.

Skills

  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Experience or knowledge of care plans is advantageous for tailoring support to individual needs.
  • Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families while demonstrating empathy and respect.
