We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Nursery Manager at our Romford Fledgelings.

Our ideal Deputy Nursery Manager will possess strong leadership skills and a genuine passion to support the development and wellbeing of children. This role is room based and supernumerary at times to support the nursery manager in ensuring that our nursery operates smoothly.

Salary is negotiable on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership experiences in the early year settings.
  • Deputy Manager experience is preferable but not essential.
  • Confident to manage the team and to step up into the managers role when required.
  • Excellent understanding of the EYFS framework and Birth to 5 matters.
  • Level 3 qualification or above in Early years.

Duties include

  • Assisting the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations such as staff deployment, rotas and health and safety.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of staff members, recognising where support and training can be given.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Develop and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the needs of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Monitor the safety and wellbeing of all children, ensuring a secure and stimulating environment.
  • Maintain accurate records related to children's development, attendance, and any incidents that occur.
