Senior Cell Validation Engineer
to ensure our products deliver unmatched safety, reliability, and performance.

The Opportunity
As a
Senior Cell Validation Engineer
, you will lead the validation of lithium-ion battery cells across all stages of development — from concept through to design and process validation (CV, DV, PV). You'll be instrumental in turning requirements into robust, data-driven test plans, ensuring our products meet customer, legislative, and regulatory expectations.

You'll work cross-functionally with teams across design, CAE, test, and pack engineering — playing a key role in analysing test results, solving complex problems, and mentoring junior engineers. This is a unique opportunity to influence the technical quality of next-generation battery technologies.

  • Lead planning and execution of validation phases (CV, DV, PV) for lithium-ion battery cells
  • Develop robust test procedures to assess performance, durability, and reliability across a range of use cases
  • Analyse test data using tools like Python or MATLAB, draw conclusions, and present clear technical insights
  • Implement and improve validation methodologies, including data automation and traceability
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific validation requirements
  • Support failure investigations with structured problem-solving tools such as 8D or Six Sigma
  • Maintain accurate and traceable records of all validation activities
  • Work collaboratively with Cell Design, Test Operations, CAE, and Pack teams to embed validation throughout the development cycle
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior team members

Job Context

  • Strong data analysis skills using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
  • Confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively across technical teams

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with lithium-ion cell design and DFMEA processes
  • Experience with failure analysis techniques such as CT scanning, X-ray, or thermal imaging
  • Knowledge of test automation platforms or validation databases
