About Us
W M Donald Ltd are looking for a reliable Plant Coordinator.
The successful candidate will be responsible to successfully deliver an efficient and cost-effective plant and equipment administration system.
Ensure that company and hired in plant, and equipment operated by employees and sub-contractors complies with legislation and client specification / requirements.
Ensure compliance of employees and sub-contractors company plant, equipment.
To ensure compliance with the Company Standards of Service and quality systems and to meet the requirements of the company business plan(s).
Key Responsibilities
Taking calls from site for Plant requirements and assist in any queries relating to lead times.
Raising and placing of plant orders.
The efficient, effective, control and monitoring, via accurate computerised records using NAV, of:
All company and hired small plant and specialised equipment to ensure:
- Traceability
- Serviceability
Ensuring Health and Safety Policies relating to plant equipment are relevant and up to date.
Ensuring that plant and equipment comply with current legislation and good practice.
Develop, arrange and maintain systems of work to support the company's operations.
Assist in the setting up and maintaining of a servicing programme for plant and equipment.
Ensure any plant or equipment that is issued is to be either fully serviceable, or its limitations are notified to the end user.
To ensure that equipment that has an expired calibration or PAT date is not used to perform tasks.
Attend site where necessary to undertake duties.
Assist in controlling site Plant levels and process monthly plant sheet.
Assist in the daily planning of lorry and vehicle assignments in collaboration with Contract Managers to optimise fleet utilisation.
Assist in the ordering and maintaining stock levels of spare and consumable parts.
Liaising with other Managers to ensure sufficient plant and equipment is available for company use; surplus hired plant is to be immediately returned.
Qualifications & Experience

- Full UK Driving Licence
- General IT literacy including Microsoft & Excel
