We're looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser, ideally an NVQ2 Accredited , to become part of our growing, professional, and friendly team.

About the Role

As a Dispenser , you'll play a vital role in supporting the smooth and safe operation of our dispensary. You'll work under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist, providing high-quality patient care, accurate dispensing, and professional customer service.

You'll also contribute to the development of junior team members, uphold pharmacy standards, and help maintain efficient stock management and operational excellence across the branch.

Key Responsibilities

Dispensary

• Dispense and check prescriptions accurately and efficiently in accordance with company SOPs.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in prescriptions.
• Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of their medication when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including register entries and prescription endorsements.
• Dispense into monitored dosage systems or compliance aids when required.
• Ensure a professional, confidential, and courteous service is provided at all times.

Stock & Ordering

• Order medicines and containers from approved suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Check expiry dates and stock rotation regularly.
• Co-ordinate repeat prescription ordering, collection, and delivery while maintaining patient consent records.
• support the work of dispensary and pharmacy staff.
• Complete end-of-day and month-end administrative duties accurately.
• Handle sales, returns, and customer transactions in line with company policy and SOPs.
• Promote healthy lifestyles and provide up-to-date health information to customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented pharmacy environment at all times.

Personal & Professional Development

• Undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain registration and skills.
• Participate in further training to support involvement in new services and clinical schemes.
