How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Air Liquide UK is focused on the IM business (Industrial Merchant), providing customers with efficient, sustainable, customised technology and process solutions. Based on the Bulk & Onsites (BOS) and the Package Gases (PG) pillars, ALUK is a key player in the development of the British Industry.

The BOS EIM (Bulk & Onsite - Engineering, Installation and Maintenance) team comprises 24 people, of which 15 people are allocated on maintenance and 9 people allocated on engineering.

The EIM team is responsible for all phases of a customer installation life cycle. From the site visit and design conception, to the handover and maintenance, passing by installation and commissioning of pressure equipment assemblies throughout the country.

Engineering is also responsible for a pool of hundreds of cryogenic vessels, heat exchangers, generators and other pressure equipment.

It is a diverse group, with 7 different nationalities from 4 continents, very proud of having a gender balanced group of design and project engineers.

You will contribute to this mission by :

  • Supporting engineering team on pressure equipment system (cryogenics) design and implementation.

  • Supporting maintenance team on pressure system (Cryogenics) assessment and proposing solutions.  

  • Leading internal and external engineering and maintenance projects (i.e. AL filling plants and customer sites).

  • Managing project team resources, training and developing extensive project management experience and expertise.

  • Liaising with other technical entities within the Air Liquide Group (ALTEC, Air Liquide Engineering and Construction, CoPs, Cluster Marketing Bus et alias) and with other departments within the organisation of Air Liquide UK (Finance, Procurement, Workshop, Salesforce, Operations Control and Credit Control) to coordinate interdisciplinary activities and to control the overall quality of the work.

  • Ensuring that the work is performed to the required legislative standards, to Air Liquide Group standards and BCGA / EIGA standards

Education: 

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or similar engineering (Bachelors would also be considered)

  • Specialisation in cryogenics or pressure systems would be an asset.

Soft and Hard Skills:

  • Team player | Ability to build and maintain relationships across functions and cultures

  • Curious | always looking for new & smart solutions, eager to learn

  • Analytical | Comfortable with numbers and process

  • Proactive I Taking initiative

Languages:
English fluency is Must have
