Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations while ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered in a timely manner. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
  • Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading of products.
  • Report any accidents or incidents immediately to management.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
  • A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively are required.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
