Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring precision and quality in all work. Ability to TIG weld is esential, and work with a variety of metals (stainless steel / mild steel / aluminium). Experience in operating guillotine / press brake / rollers / notcher.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal, to meet project specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during fabrication processes.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Operate fabrication machinery and equipment with precision to produce accurate parts.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in TIG welding
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Mechanical knowledge complemented by problem-solving skills.
