Lincoln LN, United Kingdom Heart of Supply Full time

Role: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Start date: January 2026

Contract: January 2026 – April 2026 (Full-time)

Salary: £90-£100 per day (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications).

About the role

Heart of Supply is looking for a nurturing, energetic and hands-on Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming early years setting on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who loves supporting young children as they explore, play, and grow during the most formative stage of their learning journey.

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team to create a warm, stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued and encouraged to develop at their own pace. Your role will involve supporting learning through play, assisting with early communication and language development, helping to deliver adult-led activities, and supporting children with social skills, independence and emotional wellbeing. You'll play an active part in maintaining a positive, caring atmosphere, ensuring children are happy, engaged and supported throughout the day. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a school where early years provision is at the heart of the community, and where staff are passionate about giving children the very best start.

About the school

This welcoming primary school is a vibrant, creative place where children are encouraged to love learning and feel excited about coming to school each day. The staff team is dedicated to helping every child grow into a happy, confident and caring young person, working closely with families to ensure pupils feel secure, supported and proud of their achievements.

The school places equal value on academic success and personal development, offering rich opportunities in art, music, sport and wider enrichment. Children receive a well-rounded education shaped by a committed team of staff who create an inspiring and nurturing environment. It's a wonderful place to work, full of energy, creativity and a genuine sense of pride in the school community.

What you will need:

  • Previous experience supporting children in an early years or nursery setting
  • A warm, nurturing approach and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young children
  • Confidence supporting learning through play, early language development and age-appropriate activities
  • An understanding of EYFS routines, child development and how to scaffold early learning
  • Patience, creativity and the ability to engage children in both structured and play-based learning
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude when working with teachers, support staff and families
  • The ability to support positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence in a gentle, encouraging way
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of different children and respond to the fast-paced nature of early years environments
  • A relevant early years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential for experienced candidates

What we offer you:

  • Competitive weekly PAYE pay
  • Roles tailored to your lifestyle - day-to-day or longer term
  • Access to exclusive opportunities in great local schools
  • A friendly, experienced consultant who listens
  • Free CPD and ongoing professional development
  • A simple 'Refer a Friend' scheme
  • A warm, supportive agency that genuinely cares about you and your journey

We're fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children's barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
