Join Our Team as a Senior Test Engineer (Integration) – Pioneering Quality in Medical Device Software

We're searching for a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer (Integration) to lead the design and development of cutting-edge automated testing solutions that ensure the safety, reliability, and excellence of medical device platforms. What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for embedded and connected devices, emphasizing scalability, reusability, and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to define test strategies, test scenarios, and ensure quality is integrated into every stage of development.
  • Develop and execute advanced testing strategies across diverse platforms including Android, Linux, and IoT, covering service APIs, WebUI, and over-the-air updates.
  • Analyse requirements and create comprehensive test plans, protocols, and documentation to support ongoing quality assurance efforts.
  • Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring automated quality gates are part of the development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical mentorship and collaborate with manual testing teams to elevate overall testing practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in software development for test automation (preferably Python, Java, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Espresso.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of testing device operating systems (Android, Linux), APIs (REST, IPC), web interfaces, and OTA mechanisms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to develop scalable, reusable automation solutions.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and document best practices.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience with medical device software development, safety-critical standards, or regulatory standards like IEC 62304.
  • Knowledge of video protocol testing, performance engineering, and quality assurance for complex connected devices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and validations in the healthcare sector.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; relevant advanced degrees with 2+ years of experience are also valued.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in SDET, automation engineering, or related software development roles, demonstrating a strong technical leadership capability.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to commute reliably to London-based office three days a week, with a preference for fully onsite presence.
  • This is a 6-month contract position.
  • Availability to start ASAP.
