Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Transport Planner located in Accrington. The Transport Planner will oversee daily transportation planning and coordination, develop efficient delivery schedules, optimize logistics operations, and manage fleet and driver assignments. Additionally, the individual will ensure compliance with transport regulations and collaborate with customers to provide top-tier service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Transportation Planning and Transportation Management
  • Expertise in Operations Management and Transport Modelling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in transportation
  • Proficiency in transport management systems and related software is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferable
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks
