Overview

We are looking for experienced site engineers (5 years min in a variety of civil works) to work on a well-established construction project around Brackley. The work consists of overseeing and managing the setting out of concrete structures in the domain of bridge works. As the setting out engineer you will be responsible for processing the information provided from design, marking and checking the site works and completing final as-built surveys ready to hand back to the client.

We are after engineers who can be self-sufficient in knowing what information they require and have the ability to problem solve if issues arise. There is a requirement for having your own laptop with AutoCAD software, own instrument is also desired and will reflect in pay. The ability to drive is essential as sites can be out of the way. In date CSCS card required.

Work is due to start on the 12th January 2026.

Rate - £350 per shift

Duties

  • Supervise daily site activities to ensure compliance with project plans and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth operations
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work
  • Assist in planning and organising project schedules and resource allocation
  • Prepare detailed reports on project status, issues, and resolutions
  • Ensure all work adheres to health and safety standards and legal requirements
  • Support the procurement process by verifying specifications and delivery schedules

Requirements

  • Proven experience or background in civil projects is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members, clients, and suppliers
  • Demonstrable understanding of construction processes and safety protocols
  • Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or related disciplines are preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Laptop with software's
